BATTLE OF TENNIS LEGENDS AT PUENTE ROMANO
-
Marbella, August 2016 -
The tournament will last for three days and will begin with two enticing matches; the first pitting Frenchman Sebastian Grosjean against Younes El Aynaoui, and the second, one of the most interesting clashes of the tournament as the Swede Mats Wilander takes on Yannick Noah from France. The second day will feature the debut of American star John McEnroe, who at nine o’clock in the evening will face the winner of the previous day's match.
Recently, John McEnroe told a journalist: "I am very excited about having the opportunity to play in Marbella. We have been in Puente Romano on many occasions and on each visit we have enjoyed a high level of tennis, wonderful weather, delicious food and a fantastic atmosphere, so it's definitely worth playing in Marbella once again".
The Senior Masters Cup combines the chance to see the best tennis players of all time with social and sporting events. An exclusive 1600 m2 VIP lounge will also be available, where guests can enjoy the other side to Yannick Noah, as the charismatic Frenchman puts on an exclusive concert.
The Tennis Club at Puente Romano, founded by Björn Borg in 1979, has held major national and international tournaments such as the ATP, WTA or Davis Cup and Fed Cup and its centre court has also been the scene for musical events with capacity for 2,500 people.
Tickets are available in two weeks' time through the El Corte Ingles (see link).
